We weren’t sure if this was a proper post to write here, but we thought we would like others to know about the current position of the Catholics Bishops of Michigan regarding the current debate on immigration. Being the son of an immigrant myself, and knowing that The United States is a land of […]
When you are the press secretary for an embattled president, it’s not fun, at least it shouldn’t be. But for Tony Snow its the most enjoyable job he’s had. Tony Snow is the current White House Press Secretary, and his passion for his job is obvious.
Just last month, he received news […]
On April 24th, there were congressional hearings regarding the overstating and fabrication of facts by the military regarding soldiers who died or were wounded in the line of duty. The lies that I talk about are specifically those regarding Pat Tillman and Jessica Lynch. Pat Tillman, if you may not know, was a […]
Is this something worth writing about? It’s been on the mainstream media dartboard for quite some time, and I honestly thought that England wouldn’t let him go. But it seems as though Prince Harry will go to Iraq after all. There’s much debate whether or not Harry should even go. On […]
While the nation mourned the death of the innocent students and faculty that died during the Virginia Tech shooting, it has become clear that the nation has not held the same honors to those soldiers who die serving their country in the Iraq war. While the flags were flown half staff for the dead […]
With the tragedy of the Virginia Tech massacre still fresh in our minds, I thought it would be important to document the sentiments of the individual bloggers in the Blogosphere, and to see just what their reactions were with regards to this tragic event.

This is one of the more beautiful video tributes that I hope will inspire people. The victims should be our focus now. Healing should be our focus. And the inspiration that has been shown by The Hokie Nation is truly something that will help in the healing process.
It’s yet another Friday and oh how long this week seemed for so many of us. The Virginia Tech shootings have almost left me with no energy to even have fun. But, life goes on, we have to choose to be strong, and we have to look at life as a blessing.
The shooter […]

The Buffalo News reflects on how “TV news functions as therapy in Virginia Tech tragedy”
The Associated Press, relates as to why this tragedy has […]
The following is from the poem that concluded the convocation yesterday for the Virginia Tech community in which President George W. Bush attended as well.
The video comes after the poem.
We are Virginia Tech,
we are sad today
and we will be sad for quite a while
we are not moving on
we are embracing our mourning
We are still in a state of mourning, maybe no longer shock. Because we now fully realize the depths of this tragedy, and we are beginning to see the individual victims for their individuality not just the whole of this tragedy.
The sea of mourners cross this great nation, from the islands of Hawaii and […]
As more and more information comes out, I think it’s important for us to know what these are. I think CNN has had a pretty good coverage of the situation overall. I think the overall feeling across this nation is that there is much sorrow for the families and students who have lost […]
I don’t know if it’s appropriate for me to write about this tragedy. I am not a Virginia Tech alumni, nor do I even live in Virginia. But what I am is an American, and most importantly a man of faith. This is a sad time for our nation, and a sad time […]
This week, we saw a historic moment, not only in Ireland history, but for all of Europe as well. We saw that differences can truly be set aside in the name of peace.
On Monday, Ian Paisley of DUP (Democratic Unionist Party) and Gerry Adams of Sinn Fein agreed to a power sharing agreement (St. […]
