Six Degrees of Inspiration

Connected By Inspiration

If I weren’t in Michigan, I think there is one place I would want to be during the next week or two, and that is in Washington D.C.
Because from March 31st to April 15th, The annual celebration of The Cherry Blossom Festival will be underway.

Leaving the wonderful month of March, I thought we would leave Women’s History Month with a reminder of why women are beautiful, why they inspire us, and why they are God’s true gift to men.

This is an eye-opening and very creative video.
Doll Face follows a machine’€™s struggle to construct its own identity. The machine with a doll face mimics images presented on a television screen and ultimately self-destructs from its inability to adopt a satisfactory visage. Created in its entirety by Andy Huang, Doll Face presents a visual account […]

I thought this was just an old cliche, but I’ve found this to be true in many cases. A good laugh is often what I need to get me out of the grasp of a bad day.
Studies have actually been done, and it has been proven that a good laugh will reduce stress, enhance […]

Before I forget, I thought I would refer everyone to this wonderful website of an artist and his art.
Ralph Goings is a realist painter who has exhibited in this country, Europe and Japan and is represented in museums and private collections here and abroad. He is recognized as one of the original members of the […]

Spring Ahead

I’m a bit light on my feet today because later tonight, the seasons will change and Spring will officially be here. Winter is gone and the warmer weather is just around the corner.
If absence makes the heart grow fonder, then I guess this is why we enjoy the start of a new season. […]

Beautiful Women

What is beauty really? Is it the woman on the magazine cover? Beauty has been distorted… Little girls, teenage girls, and even young women are falling for the lie…

Lovely Woman

(photo via)
O woman! lovely woman! nature made thee
To temper man; we had been brutes without you.
Angels are painted fair, to look like you:
There is in you all that we believe of heaven;
Amazing brightness, purity, and truth,
Eternal joy, and everlasting love.

A Woman’s Face

In continuing with this month’s theme of women, I thought I’d share some photos with you. Women — I don’t know what we would do without them. In biological terms, of course, we wouldn’t be here. In a more spiritual sense, I think they are as important as air itself.

Top of the mornin’ to ya! It’s officially St. Patrick’s Day, a traditionally solemn and religious holiday, but has slowly been modernized and livened up a bit over the years. Let’s remember, however, the central individual in this celebration, and that is none other than St. Patrick himself.
St. Patrick was born in England, […]

A Happier Life

Here’s some good advice at enjoying life and being happier.
Some excerpts:
Keep your promises
take a nap on Sunday afternoon
take time to smell the roses
never deprive someone of hope, it might be all they have
be thankful for every meal
don’t be afraid to say I’m sorry
don’t take good health for granted
don’t interrupt
don’t tailgate
listen to your children
take good care […]

For a long time, I didn’t want to fall in love — I was afraid to fall in love. Being in your twenties you suddenly start to feel this biological clock ticking, I’m not sure if this was only me, but I can tell you this — Women aren’t the only ones who have […]

A Happy Place

I’m always amazed at just how stressed out Americans are these days. If it’s not work, then it’s family. There literally is no sense of peace around their lives. And I think, we can even further generalize this into the rest of the world. Of course there are cultures that are […]

There is no single secret to success really. However, there is a first step towards it, and that is to believe in yourself. Learning to believe in yourself is the key to finally start moving towards your goals. Individuals do amazing things once they finally start to believe in their own abilities […]

What Is Love?

An old friend used to say, Love is like a rosary, full of mysteries. And in our previous post about love in Corinthians, it tells us what love doesn’t do… love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely…
But, how do we define love these days? […]
