It’s that time of year again, when the unprepared could be setting themselves up for the biggest humiliations of their lives, or the biggest joke ever pulled against them. So, don’t be caught unprepared! It’s nearing April Fool’s Day, and I thought I would give everyone something to think about as they prepare their own practical jokes to pull.
– In 1996, American fast-food chain Taco Bell announced that it had bought Philadelphia’s Liberty Bell, a historic symbol of American independence, from the federal government and was renaming it the Taco Liberty Bell.
Outraged citizens called to express their anger before Taco Bell revealed the hoax. Then-White House press secretary Mike McCurry was asked about the sale and said the Lincoln Memorial in Washington had also been sold and was to be renamed the Ford Lincoln Mercury Memorial after the automotive giant.

I’ve actually never fell for any April Fool’s Day joke myself, unfortunately none were ever too brilliantly planned nor executed well. But, let’s hope this has you all thinking.
