Mother’s Day is very important to me, and it is important that I recognize this day to acknowledge all the sacrifices that my dear mother made in order for my childhood to be the best ever, well you know, for me anyway. This Mother’s Day, I won’t be able to be with my mommy dearest, but I’ll probably make a call so that we can talk for a little while. I’ve already ordered flowers ahead of time, my friend will deliver it for me, and my gift has already been made ahead of time too.

Happy Mother’s DayMy gift. Well, being a sucker for pictures, I made a little scrapbook for my mother with pictures and things that were remembrances of our travels, outings, as well as ordinary special days I spent with her. It does get kind of corny, but you realize when you get older that your relationship with your mother is like nothing else in the world.

This is the woman that brought me into this world, and I’d like her to know that I appreciate her for all the things she provided for me, most important of these things is of course her love.

When you do celebrate Mother’s Day this weekend, realize that this day is for a woman that has made you the center of her life for all the years that you’ve lived, and this day certainly won’t equalize everything, but maybe you can make it as special as you can make it.

Remember as well, that you may be a grown individual, but to your mom, you are still that little boy (or girl) that she saw playing on the swings, or tucked into bed, or sang you to sleep.

Our mothers are special, they make everything better, home is always where they are, and life just seems simple and sweet when they are around. So what are you doing for Mother’s Day?
