While gathering the votes, the teacher noted that one student had not finished her paper yet. So she asked the girl if she was having trouble with her list. The girl replied, “Yes, a little. I couldn’t quite make up my mind because there were so many.”
The teacher said, “Well, tell us what you have, and maybe we can help.
“The girl hesitated, then read, “I think the ‘Seven Wonders of the World’ are:
1. To See

3. To Touch

4. To Taste

5. To Feel

6. To Laugh

7. And to Love

The room was so quiet you could have heard a pin drop. The things we overlook as simple and ordinary and that we take for granted are truly wondrous!
A gentle reminder — that the most precious things in life cannot be built by hand or bought by man.

Thank you for reminding us with this post. Sometimes, we don’t realize that most of these things are man made, but who really can surpass the grand power and beauty that God has offered to all of us.
Have a blessed Thursday!

2Joanne, thank you for stopping by. It’s definitely true what you say, that sometimes we do forget, and sometimes we need that reminder. The important things in life are the intangibles, but are as real as our soul…

4Ahh, the beauty of the soul. Nowaday, there’s too much emphasis on the physical aspects of things that we forgot that the truly important things we need are always there inside us. Thanks for such a beautiful post.

6Children are experts on how to live life.
a few weeks ago, I asked my 5 year old daughter what she wanted most from the Universe.
“Kindness and love,” she said, without much thought. “That’s what I give to the Universe, so that’s what I expect back from it.”
She certainly knows what is important, this wonderful little girl of mine.

7JOezul!! excellent point. there definitely is a very big emphasis put on the physical aspects of things… I’m glad that you are one of the individuals who realize what is truly important in life. Come by more often, I’m really enjoying your input!
@Renee, I’m always amazed at the simple wisdom that come from children. It’s obvious that your daughter is a great example of that wisdom.. By the way, I hope you have a great mother’s day tomorrow! Come back tomorrow, I have a special post for all women that I hope you will enjoy..

8About a year or so ago I came across this (the Child’s Seven Wonders of the World) in a video clip. I saved it but lost it in a reformatting of my computer. Does anyone know where I might find it? I would love to use this for my Back to School night in my classroom.
Thanks for your help!
