Writing about LoveAn old friend used to say, Love is like a rosary, full of mysteries. And in our previous post about love in Corinthians, it tells us what love doesn’t do… love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely…

But, how do we define love these days? Do we really endure, are we prone to envy, and do we have hope in all things? This is what is supposed to be expected of us, but do we really understand these things in our society today?

I believe that we do, unfortunately, it’s a sort of latent love that we know not of. A love that some of us were never exposed to, because either our parents never showed that to us and/or they never displayed that kind of love to each other.

No matter the reason, we still have that love inside of us, and it is our own decision if we choose to succumb to love, or something else that may also be within us. And that my friend, is hate.

In the world there is a battle between love and hate, good and evil; within us, there is also a battle between these forces. And of course, you decide whether or not which one will win. Keep focus on love, keep focus on good, and keep focus on things that are positive and inspiring. There is a natural tendency towards the negative and towards hate, and we should always make a conscious effort to stray away from these things…

There is a big and important part to this latent love that I talk about, and it is, that even if you feel it, you may still need to learn how to love. This all important step of learning to love is something that you also need to decide to do. Because in learning how to love, you have to let go of your fears, your insecurities, and put yourself out there… I hope you do that, I know you can do it… Don’t shut yourself out of the greatest reason for why we live. It is to love and be loved.
