This is the most beautiful video I have been privileged to watch in quite some time. This is Paul Potts singing Opera on Britain’s got Talent 1st audition Show. “Nessun Dorma” from the Torandot opera.
I could not stop crying, the beauty of his voice, the angelic music, and a feeling of just wanting to tell him, “you have a gift from God, you were meant to do this.” Truly inspiring. After the video, it was as if I watched an entire movie. It had it all, our unassuming hero, a triumphant moment, and an almost climactic and inspirational ending.

2Douglas, I was in awe. My girlfriend came into the room, and asked what was wrong.
I was just at awe, staring at the computer screen, tears flowing, but with a smile.
I must’ve looked like a mad man.
But, gosh, I’m buying Paul’s album the first day it comes out….

3This was one of the most moving things I have ever seen on TV. I watched the clip over and over again - the changes on the faces of the judges from boredom and skepticism to being completely entranced was an amazing sight. I am not normally an opera fan but I now own the Paul Potts CD.

4Paul Potts will be my first opera album. I have watched this video about a dozen times and my reaction is always the same. I am a 58 year old African American male and opera has never been my favorite music. Yet, I can not remember anything that has ever effected me this way each and every time I watch it. What is it about this video? I don’t know this man for Adam and yet I am moved the moment I see Simon look up in disbelief and watch the audience wipe tears from their eyes. If you never watch another video, this is one you have to experience.

5I agree with everyone else! I’m a combat veteran sitting here with tears rolling down my face. Paul is a treasure.

6Paul Potts has a miraculous voice. I am not really an opera fan…but I love his album One Chance….and play it all the time. Way to go, Paul!
