[...] It’s just another Friday night, rushing home to catch the 20/20 special by Diane Sawyer titled “Waiting on The World To Change”. Yes, you’re probably wondering if this is just a coincidence that I wrote about this very topic just yesterday. But, it’s been on my mind since early this week. [...]

i saw this show and i was so shocked that camden, NJ could exist in a first world country.

i join you in wanting to make a difference in the world, no matter how small, but preferably a remarkably relevant one. and i believe in the power of one, in the power of cooperation, in the power of mass consciousness that will one day tip the scale.

i was blessed to finally start a small book drive:

http://www.candlelightbooks.blogspot.com/

and i am collecting other people's stories that inspire:

happy reading and more power!

Minotte, thank you for the wonderful web finds, global volunteers is a very worthy cause and I am always touched whenever I hear a mention of that organization. Time permitting, I hope to briefly join and help..

And yes, The Camden story was truly powerful and eye opening. I have tried to find a copy on Itunes, but the episode isn't available. if you have a copy, would you consider sending it to me (Cathy at http://nancydrewandme.blogspot.com/) is requesting a copy, she lives in The Philippines, and unfortunately it isn't syndicated over there.
