					<description>It is too bad that Nikki Giovanni is trying to use this situation as a platform to promote her own political agenda. It is supposed to be about the victims, not Giovanni’s political ideology.</description>

					<description>@Vince, I honestly didn't even know who Nikki Giovanni was until yesterday.  It seemed like an appropriate poem to me, as it showed the strength and courage of the Virginia Tech community.

But, I think you are referring to the following part of the spoken word poem..

&lt;strong&gt;"But neither does a child in Africa dying of AIDS

neither do the invisible children walking the night away to avoid being captured by a ruled army

neither does a baby elephant watching his community be devastated for Ivory

neither does the Mexican child looking for fresh water

neither does the Appalachian infant killed in the middle of the night in his crib,

in the home his father built with his own hands,

being run over by a boulder, because the land was destabilized"&lt;/strong&gt;

I think maybe limiting these examples to vague ones, would've been better, but in a tragedy like this, maybe tangible examples were appropriate...
