They say that today is actually the busiest shopping day of the year. In close second may be Black Friday (the day after Thanksgiving). I must say that if today isn’t the busiest shopping day, then I would hate to be a clerk on that frightful day.
Today, I went out for coffee at the mall. I just wanted to do my writing as well as some other computer cleanup at the coffee shop inside the mall. It turns out that I didn’t even need a laptop today. I just sat back, sipped on my coffee, and marveled at the shoppers.
Oh the faces of each shopper. Some were wide-eyed, some slouched, and most with sweaty foreheads. It was a last-minute dash to the finish line, and it seemed as though most were not prepared.
I myself, didn’t shop, but who could’ve known that watching shoppers pass by would be so entertaining. One man, asked for the seat across me just for a quick sit. It must’ve been only 3 seconds until his wife came by and dragged him off (no doubt to another boutique)… And so, my morning was quite enjoyable, fun, and interesting. As I saw last minute shoppers in a hurried pace.
Nothing like a quick stop to the mall on the Saturday before Christmas, to truly get you in the mood and see how you can get free entertainment anywhere.
