The inspired blogger thinks deeply and profoundly, writes with passion, and inspires their readers to also think more profoundly.
Are you an inspired blogger? Is there something that you wrote recently, that has had a profound effect on at least one of your readers? It’s hard to answer that question because most readers don’t leave a comment or ever acknowledge the fact that they were changed by something you wrote. But sometimes, a reader doesn’t even know that a life changing moment has occurred.
But, it doesn’t matter. You don’t write for the sake of praise. You write because you are making a difference. You write because you need to. You do not stop writing because you know that one of these days you will realize, that the impact you have made in this world is more than you will ever know.
Inspired Bloggers
We have bloggers such as Guy Kawasaki who challenge and motivate us in our thinking. We have bloggers such as Darren Rowse who is motivational in his honesty to help other bloggers. We have bloggers such as Liz Strauss who inspires her readers to think and think deeply, to participate and make a difference. Lorelle, who is the guru of Wordpress. We have bloggers the world over, who are in enumerable ways, inspirational bloggers.
Being a Filipino myself, I can speak of many talented writers and bloggers who make a difference in the Philippine Blogosphere. Bloggers such as Abe Olandres, who has followed his heart in pursuing a career as a blogger, and has become the premier expert in blogging in The Philippines. We have bloggers such as Manuel Quezon, a columnist, who takes an active role in the political and social concerns affecting his country. And even myself, as I write at Tingog.com.
Political Bloggers
It’s not a matter of whether or not you are a liberal, conservative, democrat, or republican. What matters is that you put your views and opinions, praises and criticisms, and deep political thoughts out there for the world to read. You are passionate about your position on the issues, you are passionate about what you write, and it doesn’t matter whether others will agree or disagree, you write because you have to. This is what an inspired political blogger is all about. Your convictions take hold and you must write.
Personal Bloggers
In a sense, we are all personal bloggers. But your category is different, because you devote your blog to things that you find important, you write about your life, your week, your day, and even your hour. You write as if the world knew nothing of your blog, and you write because it truly is an online diary of your thoughts.
You put yourself out there for the world to see, uninhibited, and unafraid. Your pictures tell a thousand stories, and your stories shed light on your true self.
You give us stories of love, death, birthdays, and weddings. You tell us your mornings and your nights, your happiness and your sadness.
You write because you are inspired with the world, and most of all you are your own inspiration. You take delight in your world and your own experiences, and let the rest of us take a peek at the world according to you.
Bloggers in General
The list of the type bloggers could go on and on, from technology bloggers, to the bloggers blogging about blogging. It’s endless and its fun. But when you see a blog that is sustaining and never-ending when it comes to new writings and meaningful articles, in that blog you feel a sense of inspiration, and you get a glimpse of inspiration in action.
When you see a blogger that is active when it comes to his or her blog, you know you have someone who truly believes and loves their blog. This is an inspired blogger.
Blogs come and go. As quickly as they are created, they can be ended. But bloggers such as Patricia, Cathy, Wendy, Noemi, and Steve, these are the bloggers you seek, because they write not for the sake of writing, but for the sake of living.
They are inspired, they live, and they breathe the typed word.
The Question is…
It doesn’t matter what you write. What matters is that you write what you are truly passionate about, because in the end it will yield beautiful sentences, poetry, articles, and a blog worth reading..
The internet is connected in ways never before, and bloggers are taking that opportunity and running with it. They are at the forefront of communication in the online world. Bloggers exercise their opinions, and give their readers a perspective that they may not have had before.
We are inspired bloggers. We are human beings, armed with a computer, connected to the internet, making and exacting change, and inspiring others.
It doesn’t even matter whether or not you feel you have all the answers, because truth be told, no one has all the answers, but putting your thoughts out there brings together the thoughts of other individuals, and that is where magic happens, that is where the knowledge of the rest of the world will be utilized, and perspectives can be heard, this is when we know that we are making a difference because we are spurring on discussions.
To be an inspired blogger is a definite prerequisite to acquiring loyal readership.
So, the question is… Are you an inspired Blogger?

1I’m not a blogger myself. But, I certainly can tell that you’re an inspired blogger yourself. I’m a regular reader, and I can honestly say, that more than once, you’ve made me think in really profound ways.

3Joanne, thank you for being such a loyal reader. Don’t think I don’t notice… You always bring a smile to me when you come around.
RaisondeBlog, I couldn’t understand much of the writing. I think you may need to build up on the series from the start.

4For me, Inspiration is what hits spontaneously and may not even be within a specific genre.., although humor is my primary focus.., I do get off track with lame lamenting or a serious topic now and then.., and sometimes I pull a Jerry Seinfeld and blog about nothing at all.
Have I actually posted anything that has been life changing for anybody? I have no earthly idea. Now, if a smile, a giggle and the occasional hearty laugh is life changing - then yes - I’ve managed that a few times. A - few - times.

5Daveman,
You are exactly on the right track, because inspiration is when an idea takes hold of you..
It really doesn’t matter what it is, all that matters is that you are moved to take action.
Thanks for dropping by, I appreciate your thought! Consider yourself a regular!

6In a time of articles on media blogs about the lessened number of new blogs and predictions that a fad will end, yours is an interesting lesson that the blogosphere will continue but the shake-out will be among the “un-inspired bloggers”.
As I try to decide to get a host, expand my writing, continue to write a blog or not; your post was (pardon the pun) inspirational. Thanks.

9Hi Nick,
Thank you for such a high compliment. What a great thing to wake up and see myself in a list with bloggers I so admire and in an article that is so well-thought and well-written.
You’ve made my Monday off to a fine start. I guess that means that you’ve inspired me.

11Hi Nick,
That inspiration goes both ways is a wise observation. That is the beauty of gifts, isn’t it?
PS. I came back to practice my math. If you get this comment, I got 5 + 9 right. YEA!!! That’s my favorite spam protection.

12Liz,
I get that a lot, regarding the math spam protection… Nowadays, I consider all who comment as “Addition Wizards”…

15Liz and Joanne, I’m blushing now… And right back at you too..
Joanne, I’m glad that I am able to spread your exposure to these wonderful bloggers, I hope you visit each one of them because they in turn will also give you a heads up on some excellent blogs out there.
Pay close attention to Liz’s blog though because she has a SOB (Successful and Outstanding Bloggers) section that will take you quite a while to finish, but is well worth the time to add each one of them to your RSS feed reader.

16Hi Nick,
I get a lot of inspiration from other bloggers. I’m not sure if I’ve made an impact on anyone lately. If I have, nobody is letting me know. But that is my intention. I have been enjoying your blog and this post inspired me to give you some link love. Thank you for the inspiration you share.
Diana
