Tonight’s Extreme Makeover Home Edition was yet another inspiring episode. As two parents take on four children that were unwanted for adoption, and they take them in and raised them as their own.

Set in the town of Peyton, Colorado. The family’s passion is in horses, and for once, all the kids actually have the same interest… HORSES…

Vacation time for the family is in Hawaii, while the team does their magic and build the Barrett Family a bigger home. The family mentions that they wanted to adopt more children, but the state wouldn’t allow it because they didn’t have enough room, but after the makeover, I’m sure the state will definitely be reconsidering.

Here’s a nice quote that the father says, when asked about his children:

“Which ones are yours… and I say.. All of them…”

And in a follow-up interview after he has seen his new house, he’s just tearing up with joy:

Cowboys don’t cry, but if you’re a tough enough you can do anything that you want to do..

The mother also does the task of homeschooling the children, so the makeover team built them a school. How’s that for little house on the prairie type building…

I think the focus of tonight’s episode should be clear to everyone… there are hundreds, thousands of children that need a loving family to adopt them. Whatever you can do, adopt, mentor, just be there for a child… You can do so much in a life of a child.
