As I have had the time to process the preceding special “THE OPRAH WINFREY LEADERSHIP ACADEMY”, after our live blogging session, I am inspired anew, I am invigorated anew, and although the sun has set, and it’s just an hour before midnight, I will go to sleep with a sense of hope for a new future. As we have just seen some of the brightest individuals in Africa, beautiful girls, strong souls — leaders.

I hope you also had a chance to watch the special. If you didn’t, the show will air again on Saturday 8/7c, so watch out for it.

Again, my appreciation, and thanks to Sharon who inspired me to do my first live blogging session. But, most of all, I am happy to have had this chance to watch such an inspirational moment on television, I am happy to have brought it to our readers.

So, be inspired. Know that anything is possible, Oprah shows us this. But, not only Oprah, but every successful person you know has something that we all can learn from. As I remember the interviews, it comes to me again, this truth… that your light within yourself is for the world to see, you have a destiny, and as long as you follow it, you will be successful. If these girls can survive such harsh conditions, willing themselves to succeed, despite their environment, they succeed in education.

Education is a stepping stone, but your light is always with you. Just give yourself a chance. These girls have been given a chance, and I truly hope they become the leaders that this world so desperately needs.
