Today is Holocaust Remembrance Day. We remember the tragedies and the human toll that was seen during the rise and fall of Nazi Germany and its leader Adolf Hitler. It’s really one of those moments in history that looks almost too surreal to be — Real. But it was real, it was a testimony to the dark side of humanity.
It’s not something to be forgotten, but it ought to be remembered lest history repeat itself once more.
Even though we have come a long way since those years of the holocaust, we are still living in turbulent times in which crimes against humanity are taking place. We have places like Darfur which is seeing some of the most cruel acts of violence and killings. We have the debacle that is the Middle East, and we have human rights and civil rights violations as well.
Although, Six Degrees of Inspiration, would like to normally cover stories such as Self Improvement and Inspirational Stories such as those that mainstream media covers a whole lot. We would be living in a dreamland if we weren’t also being honest with ourselves and covering stories of poverty, loss, death, and even killings. Because inspiration is also rooted in reality, let us be real and inspire others to participate in the fight against those who would stomp on every human being’s right to live a life of dignity and prosperity.
Thus we will, most likely, in the future cover more stories such as those struggling in the Darfur region and even the civil and human rights violations that is happening in Russia and other regions in the world.
Indeed, this Holocaust Remembrance Day has fueled a sense of moral responsibility that each one of us, including 6doi.net, should do more.
