As you may have noticed, I’ve started out each day this week with comments on the days itself. On Monday it was regarding the deep dread that some individuals feel on Monday mornings, and yesterday reflected on Tuesday by recalling one of my favorite books “Tuesdays with Morrie”.. So, I thought I’d continue on this ride.
Wednesday, is usually what they call “Hump Day”, the middle of the work week where you get over the big hump and push towards the weekend. Has the lives of Americans gone down so much that the middle of the week has been heralded as such?
So, I started thinking to myself this morning as to what I do different on Wednesdays. And It wasn’t really that long of a thought. Wednesdays for me are catch up days. I take a break from the past two days, enjoy another morning with a wonderful cup of coffee, and reevaluate my week, so that I know that I’m on track with my weekly goals.
Also, this is something that I just didn’t have the room to write on my “5 things you don’t know about Nicholas”, but I walk my friend’s dog 4 days of the week (Mon, Tue, Thur, Fri), and so Wednesday, I don’t get to walk “Mandy” (she’s a black Labrador)…
I’ve been walking Mandy now for the past year, and I do it as a favor for an old friend of mine.. She’s in her mid seventies, and so she can’t walk the dog herself. It’s not really that time consuming, since I jog everyday, and taking “Mandy” along is always a treat. (Sidebar: They say that having dogs or any other pet actually decreases your stress level)
So, I propose, that Wednesday should be called “Reevaluation Day” or something to that idea. Next time I see my congressman, maybe I’ll bring it up.
