This is kind of a late article post on one of our favorite television shows Extreme Home Makeover - Home Edition. Aside from having excellent and caring hosts such as Ty Pennington (We love Ty)… The families are so inspiring, and the communities that just come together for the sake of helping is always the key component on why we have fallen in love with this show.

There wasn’t an Extreme Home Makeover episode the other night, because they were showing the Charlie Brown annual Christmas Special (We also love Charlie Brown).

But, last week, I didn’t have the time to recap the show for everyone. It was yet another moving episode.

It was the Ripatti Family for that week, and boy were they ever deserving of an EHM!

A two-hour episode, our lovable and hardworking team provides a new home for Kristina Ripatti and her family.

Both Kristina and her husband Tim worked together in the gang division of the LAPD and met on the job.

Kristina became paralyzed when a gang member shot her, and it was just a moving episode where not only does the community help out, but her fellow officers help out as well.

So the mission was to build a wheelchair accesible house for the family as well as an extra bedroom for Kristina’s mother who wanted to move in to help out.

One of the most important part of the makeover was the building of a miniature but complete rehab section for the house so that Kristina could continue with her rehab.

And one nice twist - “Move that Bus” Suddenly became “Move that Police Van”… That’s right, they used their special task force bus to cover the house before the unveiling, which I thought was a nice touch to the show.

Here’s a rather crude video that I came across
