Here’s a wonderful video that let’s you see a glimpse of some Palm Sunday rituals in The Philippines. You can see in the video how the people are waving the palms, this is usually the time when the priest will go around the church and start spraying the palms with holy water (the people get sprinkled on as well), and this is merely to bless the palms. The individuals then go home and usually make a cross out of the palms, or in some cases the palms are already made into crosses beforehand.
